Kickboxing

Kickboxing is a well-rounded practice with numerous benefits. Not only is it a great way to keep fit, you will also learn valuable self-defence skills that will provide increased confidence as you go about your daily life.

At Springhealth, our aim is to provide kickboxing classes that are accessible, whatever your fitness level and previous experience. We do provide Beginners Kickboxing classes for students that have never tried it before, but our main kickboxing classes are tailored to your ability, and aim to allow you to achieve your goals, whatever they may be.

We have a comprehensive Graded System from White Belt all the way to Black belt. Our Graded classes run at 7.15pm from Monday to Thursday.

Our instructors are friendly, and fully qualified, offering the level of training required for you to progress through the belts, should you wish to.

We also offer a different variety of kickboxing classes with specific goals.

Smash N Core

In this class we break out the focus pads and bags. The aim of the game is to hit harder and faster, often working for extended periods of time with a partner or on your own this class really challenges your endurance. We then finish off with some core work.

Mixed ability

We encourage all of our students with differing ability levels to come together for this class which will change focuses every week. This kickboxing exercise class is always interesting, challenging, and you’re bound to learn something new each week.

Sparring

Here you will be able to safely practice your kickboxing skills in a more advanced ‘fight situation’. Our sparring is controlled and developmental, providing a safe environment for you to learn to apply the techniques from classes in a 'fight situation'. Our talented instructors will overlook as you apply the techniques and movements you have learned in previous classes.

How The Classes Run

A typical class at Springhealth will combine a number of the following elements: kickboxing, high intensity drills, skipping, speed and agility drills, circuit training, strength and endurance drills and core conditioning exercises.

The cardio-conditioning element of kickboxing is one of the most effective ways to get fit, but you also get a number of other benefits; you learn a viable self defence skill, gain increased confidence, improved balance, co-ordination and timing. Our welcoming atmosphere also means you are bound to make a friend or two as you practice.

Our comprehensive curriculum means you learn in a progressive and intuitive nature with ample opportunity to test your skills and grade (achieve a belt) using our extensive grading system that stems from white belt to black belt – should you wish to!
