Our next two Beginners courses start on

Monday 23rd January at 6.30pm & Tuesday 6th March at 8.15pm

The first course will run for 6 weeks on Monday and Wednesday evenings at 6.30pm and Saturdays at 1pm. It costs £112 (10% discount if you pay on first night) for three sessions a week, or £10 a session pay as you go. The second course will run for 8 weeks on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 8.15pm and Saturdays at 1pm. It costs £150 (10% discount if you pay on first night) for three sessions a week, or £10 a session pay as you go.

With an exciting and challenging timetable, the club has something for everyone, regardless of your fitness level or age. For those of you who want to get away from the monotony of treadmills and cross trainers, our studio promises to put the fun back into getting fit in a friendly and motivational environment. With a little commitment and our guidance you can achieve the health and fitness goals you desire. Another thing the club boast is a very friendly and social atmosphere! Springhealth is owned and run by four-times British kickboxing champion, Alex Lawson and World champion Audi Kinga. If you want to be part of an energetic and enthusiastic kickboxing community then Springhealth is for you.

OUR KICKBOXING SYSTEM

Our kickboxing system combines the most effective kicking and sweeping techniques of the Eastern martial arts with Western boxing and sports science theories to give you a dynamic and flexible system. We have an 8 tiered grading curriculum which is varied and challenging. What separates us from other systems is that we don't stand still and hold rigid to the 'old curriculum'. As we learn new things we add to and adapt elements of the curriculum to make it a truly current and free flowing martial arts system.

TABATA

Since the start of 2011 we have been offering Tabata sessions at the gym. Tabata is the most effective type of high intensity interval training around and is without doubt one of the most challenging workouts available at our gym. Tabata training was discovered by Dr. Izumi Tabata and a team of researchers from the National Institute of Fitness and Sports in Tokyo in the 1990s. The idea is to select an exercise drill and work at your maximum for 20 seconds followed by 10 seconds of rest. Do that 8 times and you have one Tabata circuit. We commonly use 6 different exercises each session that last for four minutes each. The benefits range from fat loss to enhanced aerobic and anaerobic capacity. You need no kickboxing experience to come and try these sessions.
