Alex Lawson

Alex is the founder of Springhealth Kickboxing. His teaching style is the result of 20 years in the sport both as a fighter and as an instructor. Completing his initial training at the National College of Martial Arts, he co-founded The Paragon Gym then went on to establish Springhealth Kickboxing which has been taught to thousands of people since 1998.

Alex’s achievements and contribution to the sport have been recognised with the award of a 4th Dan Black Belt in 2007. As well as being a highly proficient kickboxer, winning the light welterweight World kickboxing title in 2013, and 5 British kickboxing titles, he was selected as a coach for the British Kickboxing Squad at the WAKO World Championships in 2005. He has coached numerous British, European and World champions over the years. Alex’s ability to motivate and nurture the talent of others is evidenced by the achievements of his students and fellow instructors, and the loyalty he has inspired. He takes group sessions and is available throughout the week for personal training.

Alex is also the main Tabata instructor at KX Gym in Chelsea and also runs Tabata and circuit sessions at Equinox Gym in Kensington.

Audi Kinga

Audi, a prodigy of Springhealth, became the ISKA middle-weight Kickboxing Light Contact World Champion in 2010 and the mat and ring unified World kickboxing Champion in 2013. He has won numerous WAKO British championships in both Light Contact and Full Contact. He Also won the ISKA European professional middleweight kickboxing belt in 2013. With over 100 fights under his belt, Audi has proven himself to be the best light middle-weight kickboxer in the country, dazzling the crowds with his dynamic and powerful style.
Audi has also qualified as a level 3 personal trainer and can develop and comprehensive training programmers to suit all needs.
As a head instructor a Springhealth he’s developed a reputation for tough workouts and well-schooled students. He is one of the main group class instructors and is also available throughout the whole week for personal training.

Ali Snodgrass

Ali’s skills lie in providing a structured workout with patience and encouragement. A favourite with people who want to take it gradually and gain a deeper understanding of the science behind martial arts. He is currently training towards his black belt. Ali teaches group sessions and is available for private sessions.

Twizzle Barnett

Another one of Springhealth’s success stories. Twizzle has developed over the last 6 years to become a brown belt. With a crisp kickboxing style and a gentle, encouraging manner he has become one of the most popular instructors at the gym. He has also represented Springhealth in domestic kickboxing tournaments in 2011 and is looking forward to achieving more in 2012. Twizzle is available for private sessions.

Luke Brenner-Roach

As a youngster Luke represented Haringey in both cross country and the 1500 meters. In 2006 he started kickboxing at Springhealth and that is where his passion now lies. He has developed into very competent kickboxer and excellent group class instructors. In 2012 Luke won his first Cimac Superleague tournament in style showing how far he has developed this year. He is currently training towards his Brown belt. Luke is also a fully qualified personal trainer (Level 3 REPs) and is soon to be qualified in sports and remedial massage. Luke is available for personal training.

Rachel Medcalf

Rachel is one of Springhealth’s chirpiest characters who always wears a smile and is happy to help the team of instructors and students whenever needed. Her wonderful kickboxing style, helped by her fantastic flexibility, and enthusiasm make her a great teaching assistant.

Loba Behnia

Loba started kickboxing in 2000 and become a senior Blue belt within 3 years. She then went on to win the British Universities Kickboxing Championships in 2004 & 2005 and has represented the gym in many tournaments since. She is a group class instructor and is available for private sessions too.

Ayo Binitie

Ayo has been a major influence on how our system has evolved in recent years. His Thai boxing knowledge has helped us develop a more rounded and functional martial art.
His achievements within the arts are: Shotokan – 2nd Dan (JKA), Muay Thai – Red Prajioud (Sitnarong Muay Thai), Kickboxing Brown Belt. 2 times Nigeria Karate Champion -79kg. He is available for private sessions in Thai boxing.

Theo Brenner-Roach

Theo started training at the gym in 2008. He has since progressed to gain the Blue 2 Belt and has shown a lot of promise on the tournament circuit. This year he has already Won the novice -75kg category at the 2012 Watford Open Nationals. He is also completing his personal trainers course in the summer of 2012. Theo assists with group classes and is available for personal training.
